Judson Smart Living® is accredited by Comfort Matters®, a research-based program focused around person-centered health care practices. It also incorporates the latest science on supporting people who live with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.
Judson’s internationally acclaimed Artist-in-Residence program features student artists and musicians that live right alongside residents at Judson Park and Judson Manor. The students perform regularly for the residents and initiate other cultural programmings.
Once a week, it’s just the guys! Residents gather for an informal roundtable about the latest in sports, current events, reminiscences of historical events, and occasionally welcome outside guest speakers.
Judson is a certified Music and Memory facility. Music and Memory improves the quality of life for residents with memory loss. Nursing staff and families design a playlist specific to their loved one’s music tastes. The music is then loaded onto an iPod and integrated into the resident’s care plan.
Sessions led by Judson’s art therapist encourage an environment of creative self-expression. Additionally, Family Art Days offer unique opportunities for intergenerational art-making.
