What is Hospice?

Hospice is a concept of care that focuses on patients who are in need of medical services, social, emotional and spiritual support. We extend this support to the patient’s family and friends. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of life by ensuring comfort, dignity, and tranquility- no matter where the patient resides or calls home. 
 
Hospice care is available when: 
  • A life-limiting illness or injury 
  • The patient and/or family decides that curative measures are no longer appropriate 
  • Illness certified by physician 
Hospice care becomes a compassionate, dignified and beneficial option for end-of-life care. When this is the case, our interdisciplinary team of specially educated healthcare professionals provide hospice care while enhancing comfort, dignity, choice and quality of life. Our program is licensed and accredited, offering crisis support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
